RETURN TO HOCKEY - Ice Times

2021-08-03

We are restarting hockey and will take to the ice again starting 18 August. The immediate programme is as per the Master Schedule and the Tryout tabs on our website.

The Senior v U18 tryout scrimmage is by invitation only but thereafter we will be accepting the following:
  1. returning players
  2. players moving across direct from boys hockey
  3. players with a Release from other OWHA associations
  4. players with a PTS from other OWHA associations
The one-time fee for the pre-season August ice is a flat rate $100, which includes two conditioning skates and a minimum of either two practices or two tryouts. Preferred method of payment is via electronic fund transfer (Interac) to treasurer@rslgha.ca. If you encounter difficulties then please contact Julie Vandenheem at 613-867-3966.

The schedule from September onwards will be published once we receive the season’s contract from the Township of Edwardsburgh & Cardinal (TWPEC) and have confirmed dates and times. As the lion’s share of association fees is to pay for ice, the level of fees to be charged will also be determined once a contract is in hand. However, indicative fees are at the Fees tab on our website. Options to pay will be either via a regular monthly payment over 6 months or through two larger instalments, with the latter method attracting a discount.

For both Cardinal and Spencerville arenas expect the public health protocols to be very similar to what were in place at the end of last season. If you are not on the ice then mask wearing, physical distancing and following the instructions of the staff is mandated inside the facility.

If you are involved in tryouts then it is recommended that you read the following documents, accessed via the Tryouts page:
  1. Statement on Ice Time
  2. Tryout Guidance
  3. 8 Things Coaches Look For When Selecting Their Team
Registration for RSL can be achieved via the OWHA RAMP registration portal - http://rideaustlawrencegha.rampregistrations.com/ If assistance is required then contact Amie Drugea at 613-790-7150.
